FIRST CANNOLI EVER
We saw Cobblestone at the Martinez Farmer's Market at the very end of the day. They were the ONLY booth that was trying to make deals. The zealous young woman working was hollering out the deals. Thank heavens someone wanted to offer a special price at the end of the day. All the produce booths had tired looking produce at full price. We were here for the specials and we found one!!
It was $2 pastry and $12 pie if I remember correctly. My husband said he'd never had a cannoli before so we grabbed one of those. I was shocked that he turned down all the other cookies and goodies. A chocolate croissant caught his eye and he turned that down too! Such self control. Good thing that's not contagious!
We nibbled the cannoli (I'm not sure I'd had one before this either.) We had to ask what was in it. The ricotta/cream cheese blend was very good. We love all things cheese. I'm not much of a dessert person but I enjoyed the treat and was glad to try something new. On sale. :)
