On our way out for a day at Lake Camanche, we stopped at the Delta Farmer's Market store and picked up a bottle of pear wine to make summer spritzers. We had meant to buy soda to mix with it, but had to forgotten this item and so when we saw Mary's Mini Mart we pulled over and ran in. The store was really empty for as large as it was. Lots of empty shelves and floor space. But they had cold sodas!
We grabbed a couple of lemon-limes and were greeted by a nice woman at the register. Another woman, man, and baby sat nearby her. A sign on the wall next to the check out counter read "thank you" with a message of sincerity and appreciation of our business. She also emphatically stated thanks, as did the young man, before we left. I honestly felt like they valued our business and thought the family (I assumed) running it was very sweet.
Hopefully they get more items in their store. With such great customer service, they're sure to do well; as long as they have items to sell
(Note: the pear wine was so delicious we didn't end up needing to mix the soda with it)
