Water Tower, Petaluma

8/19/13

Throughout the Victoria neighborhood there are several little parks for children. They are all terribly small with odd items and don't seem like they'd be a lot of fun for kids. At the park nearest the tennis courts, we saw a path leading up the hill to the Water Tower and decided to hike on up. "Use at your own risk", a sign warned. Did that mean the trail? We decided to walk up the hill. The dirt path had brown weeds on either side and there wasn't much shade, but the hike was nice.

Water towers supply water in case of emergency and also create the water pressure for water supply systems. They change levels throughout the day (refilling at night); they don't just store water. Good views at the top of the hill. No swimming allowed.  :)
