Compared to any other candy store I've been in around CA (Lafayette, Petaluma, Monterey) this is by far the most expensive. The overpriced, stale bag of candy was a disappointment bite after bite. My mother-in-law's variety of taffy flavors were all sub-par, and she said they tasted old and left a bad taste in her mouth. $2.25 for a small travel-size pouch of Hot Tamales? The movie theater has better deals than that.
If you are in Virginia City and need something sweet, perhaps a fresh donut or ice cream is the better choice. Who knows how accurately they can rotate the old candy out of these giant bins?!
