Fire Department, Treat Blvd., Concord

10/27/13

Wow, these guys sure had a party going last night. Loud music heard in our complex until about 10, and even the sirens going.  Good! That's what they should get to do every weekend because they have a hard, dangerous jobs. And they do them well!

Back in 2011, my husband went to the Giant's opening day game (which he does every year) and I came home to our condos being blocked off by a handful of fire trucks. I was so scared that the fire was near my home, since we have kitties that live with us. Fortunately, it was across the parking lot. The firefighters responded to the big blaze quickly, not saving the unit, but saving the ones around it.

Another house fire in the neighborhood next to our complex (earlier this year) had a quick firefighter response, including helicopters helping from above. We really appreciate these guys keeping us safe and doing the job they do.

Plus, several nights a week we hear bagpipes being played from their firehouse. Not sure who plays, but we enjoy the music!
