Galindo House and Gardens, Concord

2/2/14

Hello, residents of Concord (and the surrounding cities)! Want to know a little more about the history of Concord? The Galindo House and Gardens is to Concord what the Bancroft Gardens are to Walnut Creek. (At least in the sense of the history of our local street names and towns.) Except that it's free to check out the Galindo property. ($10 to walk the Bancroft property.)

The Concord Historical Society is the current owner of this ranch home built in 1856 by Don Francisco Galindo and his wife Maria Dolores Manuela (Pacheco) Galindo. (Recognize any of the names there?)

You can visit the property and view the home and gardens at any time, but the museum is only open for limited hours on Sundays. Stop by and learn more about the history of our awesome City.
