Laguna Road School Park, Fullerton

5/3/14

My family and friends completed a 5k at this park behind Laguna Road Elementary School this morning. A 7am competitive run was followed by an 8am walk/run. The park parking lot was overwhelmed but the 1500 competitors were allowed to park for free in a nearby hospital parking lot.

Lots of room for easy-up tents and a beautiful course! My Aunt and Uncle went early with my Mother and set up a nice tent with chairs and healthy snacks.  The park had lots of visitors, including some white doves which were released in honor of certain loved ones.  My cousin Erik was one of the honored people remembered at the park's event.  Finally, it was 8 a.m.!!! We ran up rocky, dirt trails, around the school, and around a beautiful pond with ducklings. At the end of our 37 minute run, tons of vendors with food and drinks were set up around the park. We feasted!

Wonderful cause and a great place for the fundraising event to take place.
